Revlon: ColorStay Under Eye Concealer

What it claims: Exclusive ColorStay formula and soft-touch applicator work to gently conceal dark undereye circles and discolorations, while giving you natural looking coverage all day. SoftFlex™ technology provides a lightweight, comfortable feel. Oil-free. Non-pore-clogging. Non-irritating. With SPF 15 UVA and UVB protection.

What Roxy claims: I've been using this concealer for quite a while now and may I say, that it really didn't clog my pores and I didn't feel any heavy-cakey feeling, unlike other under-eye concealers out there. Its very easy to blend and its unscented. :) I never really use the applicator to blend or dab it though (I use my ring fingers! :D), I just wish Revlon comes up with a brush applicator, that way I can also double it up as a High-Lighter. :D Yes, its a very good high-lighter too- mainly because of its SPF ingredient, which gives my eyes that luminous afterglow.

The sponge applicator. With just a few twists with its dispenser knob (like 6x), the product oozes with full consistency. Since I don't use this to put the concealer straight to my under-eyes, I just dot a bit of the concealer in my ring finger and dab it all over. :)

See how the darkness and puffiness disappeared? :D
I applied this all over my eyes, as darkness in the eyes are not always down under. :)

Honestly, I don't want to purchase this at first because its a total splurge for its kind (it costs like 750php.), but when I tested this I was like "What the heck, why not? XD" There's nothing wrong with going for a splurge as long as 1)It achieved and delivered its promise, and most importantly, 2) If you feel good about the way you look. Think of it as a good investment.

Always invest with the right stuff, moreso if its for your face. :D TGIF! Have a nice weekend everyone!

Ever Bilena: Evera Lip and Cheek Stain

truly a CHEAP find: Ever Bilena's EVERA Lip & Cheek Stain.

I bought this product earlier in July this year because I've been wanting to have lips like this:

Accd'g to different sources, she used Tony Moly's Tint for Lips and Cheek, but because back then I have no idea that Tony Moly is opening its stores in the Philippines this late July, I started to scour for a good lip and cheek stain in the department stores.
The first brand that popped into my mind was Body Shop's, but then again, its waaaaaay too expensive for my budget on lip stains/tints, and you've gotta admit that it is so impractical to buy one.

As I was nearing Ever Bilena's booth, I instantly saw what I was looking for: Cherry-red, long-lasting and above all, cheap lip tint. Yey! And for only 60php, there was no hesitation. THIS is what I'm looking for, a definite good bargain!

I actually don't use this on my cheeks, as I abhor cheek blush-stains 'cause its so hard to blend (you get that blot spot where you've dot it, if you don't blend within the next five seconds :|) and it can cause early wrinkles (from the blending).

So I only use this on my lips.

L: my bare lips, R: my lips with Evera.
I like that it looks like I've just sucked on a Popsicle. n_n Its smooth to apply with its doe-foot applicator and I love how I can achieve that Gradient effect I was aiming for. :) Its also a good base before you put on your favorite lipstick for it blends well with any colour, plus it will make the lipstick last longer. The smell is a nice fruity-tang, I thought it was gonna taste the same... I was wrong.
The only thing unlovable about this is that its taste. Of course when you're doing lips, you can't help but to taste the product. :| Tastes like I just dipped my tongue into a spoonful of Tempra, like the ones that we take as a kid. :|

Overall, this is a good buy for me. Not only did I achieve the Gradient effect, but it was a guiltless-practical-splurge.

What about you? What is your latest guiltless splurge? Care to share? :D

Le Faerie Cosmetics Haul! :D

Goodies I got from Le Faerie Cosmetics. :D Their products are high-quality makeups and are made by the same manufacturer of Coastal Scents, all for very affordable prices! Perfect for budding Makeup Artists out there. :)
The Blusher and the Lip-glosses are some of the FREEBIES that we got from the workshop. The Palette over there is currently my most treasured-possession. haha. :D

The blusher has two sides: one in Peach and the other in Hot Pink.
I love how you have the option to use either one or mix both to create that healthy glow aura. The compact comes with a mirror and a flat blush-brush (not really keen on using it though.)

It may look like your common pink lip-gloss, but its actually in a sexy-nude colour. :D These are the Opaque Lip Gloss line.
I love that you don't get that dry-gritty feeling when applied to your lips. And oh, did I mention that it glides smoothly with its all-around sponge applicator? It's really helpful when you want to dab on those hard-to-reach areas with an ordinary doe-foot applicator. I like to apply mine vertically to give me that "plump" look. :D

001 is actually brighter than 002. Its because 001 is for those who are fair-skinned, while 002 is for those on the morena side. Lucky me, both looks good on my lippies. :D Nude lip glosses are so hard to swatch because they almost look-alike. n_n' (but I guess if you have an HD camera, that would be too easy.)

By the way, to achieve that plump-look, you're gonna have to line your lips (with the closest lip-liner colour to your lippies) add lip-balm (optional) and apply your nude lip-gloss vertically.

And now, presenting one of the essential tools in my collection:
The 120 Palette # 1 Tropical Edition

See how vibrant and highly-pigmented these colours are? This is the basic must-have palette because it both has the neutral and avant-garde colours! Plus! every colour has two versions: one in Matte and one in Shimmer. :D

So, to try these babies out, I made this Sunset-themed look:

Makeup Workshop with Le Faerie Cosmetics

Last Sunday, me and my "twin" sister, Blessie, went to Eastwood City Palazzo to attend Ms. Bee's makeup workshop and boy, what happy kids we are! XD Once the session started, we are like wild childs let loose on a colourful playground! XD I'm glad I attended this workshop, not only are my "YouTube" presumptions are wrong, I also had a proper training on beauty makeup. :D

Bless and I, munching on our Kenny Roger Solos. :D (Right before the Workshop.)
Honestly, do we really look alike? n_n'

Now, about our Guru: Ms. Bee Lu is a Maquillage-trained Professional Makeup Artist. (ooooh, i wanna be like her someday) and the Workshop focused on one theme: Smokey-Eye Makeup. :D
We sat there for like seven hours, learning about the basics of makeup applying: from a blemish-free coverage to the classic black smokey- eye make-up. :D Another reason why I attended this workshop is so that I would OFFICIALLY know what my face Shape is and what my Colour tone really is. n_n' Turns out, I have an Elongated-Oval face with high cheek-bones, and I'm of a warm-undertone. Ms. Bee even helped me mixed the right foundation for me. :D
When it was time for the Contouring-your-face part, I had a hard time applying mine. n_n' Personally, I thought there was a battle between High-lighting and Contouring, and High-lighting has won me over. Because I think contouring makes me look like I have that madungis effect on my face. n_n' Turns out, the two needs to work together. In the end though I've mastered the skill gracefully and I looked like a different person- a model face, rather. :D

Coverage: DONE! Up next: SMOKEY-EYES. :D

Tadaaa! Our finished Look. :D
I'm wearing the smokey-blue colour (lol. i'm biased.) and Bless is wearing the smokey-purple colour. Hers looks so wearable in day-time, while mine's for party-ing. :D

Our Workshop comes with free use of brushes and makeup, merienda (we had Pizza! yum!) and freebies worth 1k! :D For more details and cosmetics, please visit Le Faerie Cosmetics' facebook webpage.

I'm definitely going back for more training. :)
